HERBIE UNDERWOOD
U11 COACH
Coach Underwood has been a youth soccer coach in Pleasant Hill for 4 years, currently coaching two teams including the U11 boys.
He has played soccer his entire life, and continues playing today with DSM Celtic in the CICS League.
CRAIG NAEVE
U12 & U18 COACH
Coach Naeve is the Iowa Storm Director of Coaching and currently coaches the u11 and u17 Storm Girls Teams. He holds a US Soccer C License.
He also has a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, as well as NSCAA High School Coach Diploma. He was a high school varsity head coach for 12 years and has a combined 25 years of coaching experience.
NATALIE OLSON
U13 COACH
Natalie Olson joined the Iowa Storm coaching staff in fall of 2021 and is in her fourth season as
head coach, currently coaching our U12 girls’ team. Prior to joining Iowa Storm, Natalie coached four seasons of academy soccer at Pleasant Hill Soccer Club as an assistant coach.
Natalie has been playing soccer for 25+ years. A five-year letter winner at East High School,
Natalie went on to play four years at Grand View College and currently holds a National D
Coaching License.
ASHLEY GOSSELINK
U11 GIRLS COACH
Ashley is an incoming coach with over 20+ years in playing and coaching experience. She obtained her Iowa D license in 2007.
Since 2018, she has coached at least one if not two teams every season for PHSC. Soccer coaching has now become a significant part of Ashley's life, and she has a passion for developing young players not only to play their best but also to love the game.
MIKE MCCARL
U12 COACH
Coach McCarl started coaching u6 and has coached all ages through u17, where I was an assistant coach for select.
He has approximately 15 years total coaching experience.
DALE OTTE
U14 COACH
Coach Otte grew up playing select soccer in West Des Moines. He was a 3 year Varsity letter winner at Valley High School and also played for the UNI Men's Club Soccer team.
He continues to stay involved in the sport by coaching. Previously he was an Assistant Coach at Valley High School and has been coaching Select Youth Soccer for 6 years.
